St Mary's Choir 2024

 The Church Choir sings from September to July at the 09.30 service on 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Sunday of each month and at Choral Evensong at 6.00 pm on the 4th Sunday. Anthems are sung together with settings of the responses and an appointed psalm.

Our 16 strong choir comprised of sopranos, altos, tenors and basses are led by our Director of Music David Ball ably supported by Rachel Slade. Rehearsals are every Thursday at 6.00 pm at the church.

 We sing hymns and anthems in 4 part harmony,  welcoming new singers in all voice parts - the ability to read music helps. You don’t have to come every week although if you are available for any given Sunday, it is helpful if you can come to rehearsal on the preceding Thursday.

 On the 4th Sunday, at the Café Style Family Service and at other less formal services, the music is lead by a Music Group consisting of singers and instrumentalists playing violins, flute, guitars and piano.
