About Us

St Mary's Bloxham is part of the Church of England and joins with two other churches in neighbouring villages to form the United Benefice of Bloxham with Milcombe and South Newington. The Benefice is within the Diocese of Oxford. Each church has its own Parochial Church Council (PCC), with services in each parish most Sundays but joining together for various occasions.

The Church has a broad approach to worship with the spectrum ranging from choral to Café Church and Messy Church, from the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) to Common Worship, the most recent form of Church of England services.

Those who worship  at St Mary's represent a wide range of church backgrounds, including most of the traditional Christian denominations. This diversity of roots generates a richness in understanding and respect for one another.
