Regular Services

We offer a variety of services which provide opportunities for people throughout the parish to join in collective praise and worship. All visitors are warmly welcome to join our services and worship with us. Please see the weekly sheet for details of upcoming services.

Sundays

8am

Holy Communion, a traditional, spoken service using the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, typically lasting 30-45 minutes.

9.30am

Holy Communion, a communion service with hymns, choir and a sermon. This service lasts about an hour.      Everyone is invited to join us for refreshments after the service. An informal, café style family service takes place on the fourth Sunday of each month without communion and the singing is led by our music group.

6pm

Evening Prayer following the Book of Common Prayer.

Choral Evensong takes place on the 4th Sunday of each month.

A Virtual service via Zoom  can be enjoyed on frequent Sunday evenings - see weekly service sheet

Contemplative Prayer Group

The Contemplative Prayer Group meets on Wednesday from 5.30pm to 6:00pm in the Chancel of St Mary’s.  We keep silence from the chiming of the 5.30pm bell, so please arrive 5 to 10 minutes before that, so you have time to find a seat and settle yourself without disturbing others. All are most welcome.

Email amgkarlsson@gmail.com for more details.

Julian Group

In addition to contemplative prayer, Brian Fletcher runs the Julian Contemplative Prayer & Meditation Group in the Parish Rooms on the 1st Monday of the month starting 7th November at 7.30pm.  The meeting will start with a short talk, then a time for meditation and end with prayer.

Fore more details, visit the Julian Group page on this site, ready more about Julian Meetings via the website, or contact Brian via email brianfletcher1939@icloud.com or phone 01295 720907 / 07498 420792.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

At least once a year, Christians are reminded of Jesus’ prayer for his disciples that “they may be one so that the world may believe” (John 17.21)

During this week we meet with Bloxham Baptist Church and members of other Christian denominations.
