Giving

St Mary’s Church needs to generate almost £90,000 each year in order to fund its running costs and support its mission and outreach activities.  The majority of this is covered through regular and one-off donations.

Regular Planned Giving

Most parishioners and many other villagers like to support the work of St Mary’s Church through regular giving.

St Mary’s Church uses the Parish Giving Scheme (“PGS”) as its preferred method for receiving regular donations.  The PGS has many advantages, in that all of the administration costs are funded by the diocese and St Mary’s receives all of the donations and any associated gift aid in the same month, with virtually no administration.

If you would like to support the ongoing work of St Mary's in our community with a regular donation, please visit our PGS page here.

One Off Gifts

One-off gifts are a great way of supporting the church. For example, a £10 donation will pay to light the church spire for a week and is a wonderful way to celebrate an important birthday, wedding or anniversary, or remember a loved one.

To make a one-off donation, please visit our PGS page here.

Gift Aid

St Mary’s is a registered charity and can claim back 25p every time a taxpaying individual donates £1 to the church. This is called Gift Aid and further explanation is provided on the Gift Aid Form.
