We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds to join with us in worshipping God and in finding out more about the Christian faith.
The church is open every day for visitors to look around or to sit and reflect quietly in peaceful surroundings.

Our Vision for St Mary's
St Mary’s Church, Bloxham aims to be a place of Welcome, Worship and Witness. We believe that God’s saving love has been revealed to us in the life, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus of Nazareth. This is the Good News of God’s forgiving love which we want to share with others.
St Mary’s is a place where followers of Jesus and those who want to learn more are nurtured, where loving service to the wider community is offered, where justice and reconciliation is sought, and where we strive to care for creation, and sustain and renew the life of the earth.
We welcome all members of the community and beyond, of all faiths and none, regardless of race, colour, gender, or sexuality, and aim to be inclusive for those with challenges of hearing, sight, or neurodiversity. We seek to deliver more flexibility with new forms of worship, as well as holding on to the treasures of the traditional, and aim to witness more effectively to the love of God for everyone.
St Mary’s is the symbol of the soul of the village – a sacred space offering for all a place for stillness, meditation, prayer, or just gazing! As part of God’s mission in this place, our 7day- a- week church serves both those who worship here and the needs of the wider community, as well as visitors and pilgrims. We are building for God’s future for generations to come, as well as for our own.
Building our Future
Building Our Future (BoF for short) is the longstanding project to bring St Mary’s Church Bloxham into a facility that matches the needs of our twenty first century community.
While tradition holds value, our growing population necessitates a church that can serve everyone's needs. The population of Bloxham has grown to approximately 4,000 people and we believe every person in our village deserves a welcoming, supportive, and vibrant place to gather.
Thanks to generous donors, Phase I of the building project is now complete and already being used:
- Versatile community spaces
- Modern facilities including kitchen and toilets
- New heating and sound system
We’ve raised 80% of the funds needed, but we still need to pay the final installment to the contractors. Can you help us to raise the final £140,000 needed?
Donating is simple and secure. You can visit our visit our Just Giving page to make a one-off dination or participate in one of our many fundraising events, details of which can be found on our events page.
The fundraising target is achievable and together, we can build a brighter future for St Mary’s and Bloxham. With your support, we will create a space that reflects the warmth and generosity of our community. A space where everyone has a place and feels at home.
Thank you for being one of our 4000 reasons to make this vision a reality.
