Welcome to St Mary's, Bloxham
St Mary's Church has been at the heart of Bloxham in Oxfordshire for almost 1000 years, providing a focal point for Christian worship and prayer. We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds to join with us in worshipping God and in finding out more about the Christian faith. Social events are also an important part of church life to which visitors are most welcome.
St Mary's is here to serve the local community and to follow the example of Jesus Christ. The church is open every day for visitors to look around or to sit and reflect quietly in peaceful surroundings.
As well as morning and evening Sunday services, there are various groups which meet regularly for prayer, Bible study and fellowship. Our diverse congregation welcomes people of all ages and at all stages of their journey of faith. Our bellringers call people to worship, a music group leads the singing for the less formal occasions as does the choir for more formal services.
Following the celebration of the feast of Pentecost and Trinity Sunday, when we give special consideration to the nature of God, three in one, Father, Son and Holy Spririt we enter what, in church speak, is called Ordinary Time which continues until the start of Advent.

Service and community outreach is an important part of our mission. We offer community groups for children including Bumps and Babies, Boys Brigade and After School Church Club. There is a small play area inside our church as part of the welcome to children and families, whilst Tea and Toast, Soup Saturday and Mothers Union are amongst the groups available to all age groups.
